Plover Cottage is a luxury hideaway cottage filled with 9 stunning stays, making for an amazing holiday or business stay in the beautiful Yorkshire village of Lindley, Huddersfield.

We have restored and built up this stunning little getaway, working hard to make every room, floor and corner feel like a cosy little home away from home. Each of our cottages are the perfect place to host a cosy family get together, a couples vacation or a temporary stay for you busy folk needing somewhere to stay near Huddersfield.

Our homely cottages are based in Lindley, Huddersfield an idyllic little village on the outskirts of Huddersfield. Like our stunning little cottage, Lindley has a very rich history, from a 111+ year-old clock tower to its history under the reign of Queen Victoria.

This village is much more than just the perfect area for a cottage stay near Huddersfield, its most prominent landmark is certainly the beautiful clock tower designed by famous architect Edgar Wood and has remained standing for over 100 years. There are many other outstanding landmarks and pieces of architecture dotted around Lindley and surrounding areas making for a picturesque landscape in almost every direction.

Really enjoyed the property, great base for my stay to visit family and the surrounding areas.

It’s a great location visiting the Huddersfield area and beyond. The facilities at the property allow you to be completely self-sufficient and the property is equipped with everything you need and to a very high standard. I can only recommend the property as it meets all your needs and is such a lovely space to be in. The host is available to you to help in any way. I was fortunate to meet Cleide (host) and she was welcoming and helpful and so friendly. I had a lovely stay and will be booking again for sure.

Cleide was an extremely helpful host letting us check in at 1 so we could drop our luggage off so we could make it to the wedding without bags in tow…

She also got intouch the day before with instructions which was great!

OUR HUDDERSFIELD COTTAGES

Our charming properties based in the heart of Lindley make for an ideal cottage stay near Huddersfield, just a short drive or bus from the busy town our cottage is a perfect escape. With beautiful scenery, amazing food and a wonderful village community it truly feels like you have stepped through a portal into a heavenly and peaceful location.

Our cottage contains everything you could possibly need during your stay from washing machines to cooking apparatus, however we would definitely recommend, if you’re here for a short stay or romantic getaway to take a stroll around the village and picking one of the many wonderful places to eat.

For those who may not know, our cottage actually appeared on Channel 4’s ‘Four in a Bed’ were we received a payment of over 100% with all competitors exclaiming how much they enjoyed their stay.

THINGS TO DO IN HUDDERSFIELD

Our cottages are located just on the outskirts of Huddersfield, meaning if you’re here for a while you are probably going to want to find some things to do in and around the town!

Luckily for you Huddersfield is packed with various sites and activities to keep you busy during your stay, from The Huddersfield Art Gallery to Huddersfield Leisure Centre, not to mention tonnes of famous food venues such as Eric’s Restaurant and Da Sandro’s which has seen many famous faces over the years including Samuel L Jackson!
