What’s On At The Piece Hall 2026 – Food & Drink

One of the best things about The Piece Hall is you don’t have to rush around Halifax trying to find somewhere for pre gig food or a quick drink. There are plenty of cafés, bars and restaurants right there in the arcades, with courtyard seating available when the weather behaves itself.

If you want something more casual, there are café-style spots like La Piazza, The Deli, The Astronomer Diner, The Bakery and Loafers, which are handy if you’re grabbing a bite before heading to the show.
And if your plan is to grab a drink, you’ve also got bars like The Hop Yard and The Wine Barrel to start the evening properly.

What’s On At The Piece Hall 2026 – Shops

It’s also a great place to potter around during the day, especially if you’re arriving early. The Piece Hall has a charming mix of independent shops for you to browse gifts, homeware, and interesting little finds!

At the moment, you’ll spot shops and traders like Waterfall Games, The Society of Alchemists, Antiques by Rachel, and The Jam Shack (plus plenty more if you keep wandering).

More On The Piece Hall

Even if you’ve got your gig tickets sorted, it’s worth treating The Piece Hall like a proper day out. You can explore the independent shops, get a drink and a bite to eat in the courtyard, then head into the evening feeling like you’ve actually made the most of being there.

It also helps that the venue itself is the attraction. The building has some interesting history and is a big part of what makes the place feel different to a standard outdoor gig setup.

The Piece Hall On Four In A Bed

One of the highlights for some of our guests staying at Plover Cottage is how easy it is to get to places like The Piece Hall. It was even featured when we were on Channel 4’s Four In A Bed, because it’s one of those local landmarks we genuinely recommend people go and see while they’re here.

It’s also a nice reminder that when you stay with us, you’re not just booking somewhere to sleep; you’re putting yourself in a convenient spot for day trips, food, and nights out. You’ll never run out of things to do when you stay with us!
